Celebrating Unity, Freedom, and Diversity
The Tiranga, our National Flag, is a representation of India's unity, strength, and values. It is more than a flag; it is a symbol of freedom, courage, and patriotism. Adopted in 1947, the Tiranga continues to inspire every Indian to uphold the spirit of independence and unity.
The journey of our flag began during the freedom struggle. The tricolor evolved through several versions, symbolizing resistance and unity. The final version, designed by Pingali Venkayya, was officially adopted just before independence in 1947. It embodies the sacrifices of those who fought for India's freedom and sovereignty.
The Tiranga carries deep symbolism through its colors:
The Ashoka Chakra in the center reflects the continuous wheel of progress and the path towards righteousness.
